The FFCA Board of Directors has nine members. Each member's term is three years and the terms are staggered. The board makes an official call for candidates each fall to elect three new or returning members. This supports board continuity and allows for change while reducing the risk of board entrenchment.
The Board assesses its skills annually prior to the election announcement and determines key areas where a skill gap exists. The election announcement will include the recommendation as to the expertise that would be beneficial to the organization. That said, we encourage all interested candidates to seek election. Ultimately, it is our stakeholders that decide!
