With Lorie Skaper-Burtch transferring to our Northwest
Elementary campus for the 2025–2026 school year, we
are excited to announce the new Principal Educator
who will be leading Southwest Elementary next year!
Salima began her journey with us in 2005, as a teacher
at the Southeast Elementary Campus. Over time, she
transitioned into the role of Director of Educational
Technology at Central Office. For the past nine years,
Salima has served as an Associate Principal, first at
Southwest Elementary, then at Northeast Elementary,
and most recently at North Middle School.
Salima holds both a Bachelor’s Degree in Education
and a Master’s in Educational Technology, both from
the University of Calgary.
Salima shares the following thoughts as she returns to lead at Southwest Elementary:
“Reflecting on my journey at FFCA, I’m deeply grateful for the wealth of experiences and
relationships that have shaped my path. Working with a committed team to reach our
goals has been truly fulfilling. Now, as I return to the campus where my leadership
journey began, I’m energized by the opportunity to collaborate once again with such a
dynamic and dedicated team. Together, we’ll continue to achieve great things.”
