It gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Joshua Symonds as the Principal Educator at the South High School Campus beginning August 2021. Mr. Symonds has been serving as Principal Educator at South Middle School since August 2020. He began teaching English Language Arts and Social Studies with FFCA in 2005. He spent seven years as Associate Principal at the High School Campus, followed by one year at the North Middle School Campus.
Josh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Queensland, a Master’s Degree in School Administration from Gonzaga and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership in International Contexts from Western University.
Josh shares the following thought on taking on this PE role: “Although it is hard to leave the SMS after only a year, I am excited to be a part of the SHS. I started my journey with FFCA in 2005 at the same campus where I will be the Principal this fall and I am looking forward to leading SHS as we continue to establish and build our high school community in the south.”
We are extremely pleased that Josh has accepted this new challenge.
