The Board is officially making a call for candidates to join the FFCA Board of Directors. Starting this year, 1/3 of the Board's 9 seats will come up for election every year to support board continuity and allow for change while reducing the risk of board entrenchment. As such, this year, 3 board seats will become eligible for election for a term of 3 years. The Board has assessed its skills and has determined that there are two key areas where a skill gap exists. It would be beneficial to the organization if an individual with legal expertise and Human Resource Management considered running. That said, we encourage all interested candidates to seek election, ultimately, it is our stakeholders that decide!
The election will be held on December 10 and 11 with results being announced at the December 11 AGM.

There are a few mandatory elements for any candidate interested in a board position:
A nomination form must be completed and submitted by 2:00pm on November 19, 2019. We remind everyone that you can self-nominate.
Mandatory attendance at the Board Candidate Meet & Greet Information Session which will be held at Central Office, October 30th 7:00pm - 9:00pm. Attending is a prerequisite to candidacy so that all candidates are given the same information and advised of the campaigning rules. If you are unable to attend, please email Director Sumara Diaz as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements to meet to discuss expectations of directors and campaign rules.
Mandatory attendance at the Candidate Elections Forum - December 3, 2019 - 7:30pm at Central Office. (Voters will be able to livestream the forum from their computers and ask questions online).
