Learning from Home

My name is Arian and I am in 8Gindin. I’m loving online school now; however, it has been pretty rough at times. At the start of online school, it was tough to keep up with assignments as it was easy to miss them in the online handouts – it was such a different thing to get used to. However, I adapted very well as I have a huge whiteboard in my room, and I write down all of my due dates for specific assignments, so whenever I am in my room, that huge whiteboard is always there, reminding me of when my next assignment is due (hint, hint – to other kids, this might be a good strategy for you!). Nevertheless, it also helps when I have the caring teachers who support me with my assignments and questions that I have. If I do not understand a particular concept, no matter how long it takes, they are willing to teach me until I understand – even now! They do their very very best, and I am grateful for that. I feel like FFCA teachers are always trying to push us to do our best, and that is what drives me to do even better on the next assignment.

The thing I like most about online school is that you can choose whenever you want to learn something. For example, even though there are due dates for things throughout the week, it still has a great impact on my morale as I feel peaceful when I can do my school work whenever I feel like doing it because I do it to the best of my abilities when I feel most inspired. I do have a schedule, but I am getting better at managing my time, so what I am trying to say. I really miss being in school – I miss my friends and all the interaction we get at SMS. But considering this strange time, I know everyone at school (and in my home – my family!) are doing their best!
