  Bill McGregor
   

 

Bill has been a director since 2003 and is the new Board Chair, having served in the roles of Chair and Vice-Chair sine 2004. Three of his five children attend FFCA. Bill is a sales representative and enjoys politics, travel, music and NASCAR.

Bill says:

"To be involved in my children's education is important to me. My goal is that the FFCA Board works to increase public awareness of charter schools in general, and specifically FFCA, to build healthy relationships with the politicial decision makers, and to forge a future for FFCA that guarantees permanence in our charter, appropriate facilities, and fair and reasonable funding."

 


Jason Cox


Jason has been a Director since 2006 and is the new Vice-Chair. He has two children attending FFCA. Jason is self-employed and enjoys computer repair and camping.

Jason says:

"I firmly believe we have an excellent system here, and want to do my part to ensure that it flourishes and grows to show that the traditional minset in education is not the only option for our children."

  Chris Best

Chris has been a Director since November 2002 and has three children attending FFCA. Chris works in the electricity industry dealing with regulatory and environmental issues. In his free time he enjoys hiking, cycling, weight training, golf and chasing his kids around.

Chris says:

"I joined the FFCA Board for two reasons - one, to make a difference in my children's and other children's education; second, to thrive in the positive atmosphere that FFCA provides. My goal is to ocontinue to represent the parents in our organization and to position us to excel in the future."



Sean Chu

Sean has been a Director since 2006 and has two children attending FFCA. He has been a City of Calgary police officer for 16 years, and in his free time enjoys biking, walking, swimming and spending time with his children.

Sean says:

"I am committed to being an FFCA Director so that I can contribute to this great school system, as well as play a role in ensuring that our kids have the best schooling."

  Bud Meghji

Bud is a nely-elected Director and has two children attending FFCA. He works as a purchaser for ALBI Homes and in hs free time enjoys going to hockey games, managing his son's hockey team and traviling.

Bud says:

"I feel that being a FFCA Board member is important. This fulfills my goal to serve the community and to be a part of my children's education."

  Shelley Schroh

Shelley is a newly-elected Director and has one child attending FFCA. She has the busy job of being the mother of four young boys. In her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening, quilting and spending time with her family.

Shelley says:

"I am committed to parents having a choice in public education. My goal as an FFCA Director is to help make this school the best it can be."

  Monte Wilson

Monte is a newly-elected Director and has two children attending FFCA. He is a chartered accountant and works as a controller for Can-Am Geomatics Corporation. In his spare time he enjoys sports, especially hockey and golf.

Monte says:

"Being on the Board is the next step in my commitment to FFCA. I have been the treasurer for the St. Lawrence school council for five years. Being a Director, I look forward to playing a higher-level role in guiding the education of my children and the FFCA student body as a whole."
